Anthony Marinelli Honored with DAISY Award
Recognized for exceptional care and compassion

Congratulations to quarterly DAISY Award簧 winner Anthony Marinelli, BSN, RN, who works at 蹤獲扦 Jacksonvilles Medical Intensive Care Unit. Marinelli was selected for the award for his excellent care and compassion for a patient as well as the patients family members during a stressful time.
The patients sister nominated Marinelli, calling him an outstanding, wonderful nurse. In addition to his incredible patient care, she noted that Marinelli also responded to the needs of the family. She especially appreciated his willingness to pass questions and concerns to the medical team and to take the time to encourage her to care for herself during a difficult time.
The DAISY Award is a nationwide program that was established by the Barnes family in 1999 to honor their son Patrick who died from an autoimmune disease. The family also wanted to thank the nurses who cared for him during his hospitalization and create a system for others to celebrate nurses for the exceptional care they deliver every day. DAISY is an acronym that stands for Diseases Attacking the Immune System.
As a DAISY Award hospital partner, 蹤獲扦 Jacksonville recognizes three nurses or teams of nurses with this special honor every quarter. Nominations are reviewed by a 蹤獲扦 Jacksonville committee of nurse managers, nurse education specialists, and clinical quality nurse leaders.
