Rathore elected to Florida Medical Association鈥檚 Board of Governors
, professor and associate chair of at the , has been elected to the Florida Medical Association鈥檚 Board of Governors for a three-year term.
FMA represents more than 20,000 physicians in Florida on issues of legislative, regulatory, economic, educational and public health significance. Rathore will be the board鈥檚 District B representative, serving the five Northeast Florida counties of Duval, Clay, Nassau, St. Johns and Putnam.
Rathore is chief of the division of and director of the at 萝莉社 COMJ. He started the first pediatric infectious diseases training program in Florida and continues to educate fellows locally and across the country. He is also co-director of the Community Engagement Research Program for the .
In January, Rathore will begin a six-year term on the sub-board of pediatric infectious diseases for the American Board of Pediatrics, which certifies physicians in more than 20 specialties.
He is a past president of the Duval County Medical Society and the Florida Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics. He is a member of the academy鈥檚 Committee on Infectious Diseases and the Executive Committee of the Provisional Section of International Medical Graduates. Rathore also serves on the editorial board of Pediatrics in Review, an official journal of the academy.
